More about: Kaiser Chiefs
On Australian radio...
Kaiser Chiefs have covered Mark Ronson and the Business Intl.'s 'Record Collection'.
The Leeds group performed their own version of the track during an appearance on the Australian radio station Triple J.
Drummer Nick Hodgson, who co-wrote the track with Ronson, joked that the band had only chosen it as their cover choice because he would get royalties from performing it.
“I chose to do this song because I wrote this song with Mark Ronson, so the more times it gets played the more money I get,” Hodgson said.
Ronson later tweeted a clip of the performance on his own Twitter page, and wrote: “Kaiser Chiefs cover 'Record Collection' on Triple J (technically not really a cover seeing @nickkaiserchief co-wrote it).”
Hear it on Triple J now.
A previously reported on Gigwise, earlier this week Ronson announced plans to release 'Record Collection 2012', which features new vocals from Pharrell Williams, Wretch-32 and Wiley.
