He might be dead, but he'll never escape the controversy. Michael Jackson is being sued by a fan, who claims that he was not the lead singer on some of the tracks on his 2010 release, Michael.
The album was the singer's first posthumous release and, although the fan bought the CD in 2011, she's only just taking action against it and suing his estate.
The woman filed the suit in LA on Thursday (12 June), and is taking issue with three tracks in particular - 'Breaking News', 'Monster' and 'Keep Your Head Up'. In the suit, she claims that she actually hired an audio expert to analyse the album, and he determined that it was likely Michael did not sing on the three tracks.
Not only that, but the fan wants her lawsuit to be a class action. Not only would she be owed money from Michael's estate if the allegations turned out to be true, but everyone who had bought the album or the three specific tracks would also be owed money.
Howard Weitzman, who is the Estate's lawyer, has previously said that Michael did sing the lead vocals on the three tracks in question.
