NBC are reportedly planning a TV drama series based around the life and career of The Beatles.
According to Deadline, the eight-episode series will be written by Michael Hurst, who was the creator and executive producer of The Tudors. Hurst will also produce the series, alongside his Tudors co-producers Teri Weinberg and Ben Silverman.
Considering their generally undisputed reputation as the most famous band in the world (One Direction aside, of course), there have been fairly few attempts to bring The Beatles' story to the big or small screen.
The 2009 film Nowhere Boy, starring Aaron Taylor Johnson and directed by Sam Taylor Wood, chronicles the early years of John Lennon, but there have been very few mainstream biopics of the entire band.

Next month also sees the re-release of The Beatles' 1964 documentary A Hard Day's Night, in celebration of its fiftieth anniversary.
A Hard Day's Night will be in cinemas and available to download on 4 July, and will be followed by a limited edition DVD release on 21 July.
