Kylie Mingoue, Rod Stewart and Susan Boyle have been confirmed to perform at this year's Commonwealth Games.
The Guardian reports that the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony held at Celtic Park in Glasgow, will be showcasing Scottish talents such as Rod Stewart, Susan Boyle and Amy Macdonald in front of an expected 40,000 people in attendance on Wednesday 23 July.
The chief executive of the 2014 Commonwealth Games David Grevemberg, said that the annoucement will take "excitment and anticipation to a whole new level."
Minogue is scheduled to perform a five song set during the closing ceremony on Sunday 3 August, linking Glasgow with Australia who are hosting the 2018 Commonwealth games.
The singer recently denied claims that she has split with her record label Parlophone after dissapointing sales of her recent album, Kiss Me Once.
The ceremonies will also feature violinist Nicola Benedetti and Gaelic-language singer Julie Fowlis.
