Country legend Dolly Parton recently revealed that she wants to work on a dance record. Yes, really. What a way to make a living.
Digital Spy reported that during a press conference last week, Parton spoke about her desire to write a song that her fans could "relate" to, specifically mentioning her fans in the gay community.
She said that: "at some point I would like to do a dance record and I have several songs that are very positive towards the gay community. I do write a lot of songs along those lines with people that are different and are just themselves."
Parton said that she has already started work on the record, "I have a song called 'Just A Wee Bit Gay'. It's a great little dance tune, it's funny and it's got a lot of comic in it."
Her recent world tour saw her perform to 150,000 people at Glastonbury Festival and even adopting an abandoned dog.
After her festival triumph, Parton's latest album Blue Smoke jumped to the No.3 spot in the UK Album Charts, her highest ever UK album chart position.
