Left-of-centre British R&B artist FKA Twigs has revealed her latest song 'Video Girl", the second track to be offered off of her forthcoming debut album, 'LP1'. Check it out below.
The song feels as organically moving as one would exect of FKA Twigs by now. The slow but steady trip-hop elements of the track display Twigs' originality, in that the she never bombards you with her emotions but rather gently immerses you in them; the beats in the background .
Although minimalist in nature, 'Video Girl' certanly leaves a powerful impression on the listener and will be sure to whet the appetites of fans for her debut album.

Speaking of the track, Twigs told Pitchfork: "I wrote that very shortly after I stopped being a video girl. When I got signed, I stopped dancing - I'd given up that part of my life. I would go out, and somebody would be like, 'Oh, I recognise you!' I'd hope it was because they'd heard my music, but they'd say, 'Are you that girl from the Jessie J video?' I'd always say 'no,' and they'd be like 'You're lying!' I'd say, 'No! It's not me.'"
The full tracklisting for 'LP1', due out August 12, is as follows:
'Preface'
'Lights On'
'Two Weeks'
'Hours'
'Pendulum'
'Video Girl'
'Numbers'
'Closer'
