Dear America, we're so sorry. The UK edition of the X Factor is now set to screen in the United States, months after the American version of the carousel of mediocrity was cancelled.
Back in February, TV executives cancelled the 'music' reality show after just three seasons. But now, various sources are reporting that music channel AXS TV are hoping to find more success by airing the upcoming 11th series of the UK version for Stateside viewers who may enjoy viewing that kind of thing for some reason.
The show's creator Simon Cowell was a judge on the panel in the UK from 2004-2010, before he left to serve on the failed American version, but he'll be back on these shores this year alongside Spice Girls star Melanie Brown, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh.
The show kicks off on 30 August in the UK, being shows on 31 August in the US.
