Blur have announced that they'll be releasing a new album - a live recording of a classic show from 1995.
August 11th is a date for the diary for all Blur fans with the long awaited digital release of their November 1995 show at Tokyo's The Nippon Budokan.
A recording of the show was released via Japanese retailers a year later has since become a popular import to music lovers, so this release should come as no surprise.
The group performed to an audience of 20,000 at the popular Japanese venue almost 20 years ago as part of their 'The Great Escape Tour' and have since returned, with a sold out show earlier this year in January.
The indoor arena located in central Tokyo has hosted m any worldwide artists with names such as Bob Dylan and Ozzy Osbourne among artists who have released 'Live at Budokan' albums.
Last year, producer William Orbit
promised to 'never' work with Damon Albarn after recording sessions between him and the group were halted in 2012.
The Blur frontman has previously
stated 'he doesn't have time' to work on new music with the group, instead focusing on a family musical project which he hopes to begin in September.
Blur live at The Nippon Budokan will be released on 11 August, 2014.
