Reading residents have complained after a local Tesco replaced its salad aisle with booze, in preparation for this weekend's festival.
Locals have posted images of the above booze mountain on Twitter, after the town began to make preparations for first arrivals and Friday's (22 August) kick off.
"The store is chaos during the festival, and if it’s wet, it gets really trashed too," told customer Timothy Jeffcoat told The Independent, also mentioning that the potato aisle had been replaced with vodka.
Tesco however, issued a statement saying that it was only the promotional area of the fresh food section that had been altered in order to prepare. They also added that it was a huge weekend of business for the store in question and they were ready to provide a service to ill-equipped campers.

"During the festival we expect to see 35,000 people a day coming through the store, and yes, we expect some of them will want to buy alcohol," said the spokesperson. "This is the biggest weekend of the year for our Reading West store – bigger than Christmas – and we work really hard to make sure festival-goers can get everything they need, including food, wellies and even tents. Believe it or not some people do come to the festival without a tent."
Reading and Leeds festival takes place from 22 - 24 August, with sets from Queens Of The Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Paramore, Blink 182, Disclosure, Jake Bugg, Courteeners and many more. For tickets and more information visit here.
