Electric Zoo, a New York City dance festival, had to cancel its final day yesterday (31 August) due to severe weather conditions.
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for the NYC Metropolitan area, with major storms expected in the vicinity of the site, thus putting the festival at danger if it were to continue.
This is the second year in a row that Electric Zoo have had to cancel the final day of the festival, after 2013 saw the Sunday called off for safety reasons when two festivalgoers died from drug overdoses and four more were hospitalised.
Yesterday was originally meant to see performances from Bingo Players, Chase and Status and Alesso among others.
