Bookmakers have slashed odds of FKA Twigs, East India Youth and Kate Tempest receiving nominations for the prestigious Mercury music prize.
Nominees are officially announced in a ceremony tomorrow (10 September) with the winner announced next month.
After both releasing acclaimed debut albums this year, FKA Twigs and Tempest have had their odds cut to 3/1 by Ladbrokes, with the pair previously at 4/1 and 5/2 respectively before today. East India Youth has also now become a possible winner, with odds now at 10/1 for the forward thinking electronic artist.
Jungle, Royal Blood, Damon Albarn and Wild Beasts are all expected to receive nominations tomorrow, but it is FKA Twigs who remains the favourite after the vast critical acclaim for LP1, which was released last month through Young Turks.
