Foo Fighters fulfilled the dreams of some of their most hardcore fans, playing an epic crowd-funded gig in Richmond, Virginia last night (Wednesday 17 September). See footage and the setlist below.
As previously reported, Foo Fighters declared that gigs arranged and paid for at the request of fans were 'the future' of music - so they agreed to play the gig following an online campaign by solitary fan Andrew Goldin who campaigned to bring the band back to Richmond, Virginia.
The band then tweeted:
.@foofighters_rva @Tilt How’s Sept. 17th @TheNationalRVA sound? Let’s do it. If you pledged, check your email for details!

To mark the occasion, 17 September was officially declared 'Foo Fighters' day in Virginia - and boy did they earn it. Following on from their run of secret shows last week leading up to their headline show at Sunday's Invictus Games in London, the band took to the stage at The National in Richmond, Virginia before tearing it apart with an epic, hit-packed 23 song set.
So there you have it, folks. If you want the Foos to play in your town, why not have a go at organising, funding and campaigning for it yourself? You could get a gig like this.
