La Roux has hit out at her record label and the way they managed her second album Trouble In Paradise, criticising Polydor's 'overall performance' around the release of record.
In an interview with Digital Spy, Elly Jackson explained: "I'm not really happy with the overall performance of my record label. And I'm not the only one who's noticed it."
"It's really frustrating when your label kind of expects certain things to happen, and then they don't happen, and then they just stop bothering."
She continued to state that Polydor's reported ambivalence stems from the fact her second album has less hit singles than her debut, despite the album itself being critically acclaimed.
"It seems to me that maybe they wanted No.1's and if they don't get them, they're not really bothered."
