Following the huge success of his new album x, Ed Sheeran will be launching his own record label imprint.
Under Warner Records, Sheeran's as yet un-named imprint will see the 'Don't' singer sign new acts and release music, with Sheeran already reportedly working with artists.
Speaking to The Sun, Sheeran explained the venture in more detail: "The door has now been opened, I've set up the label and I'm going to start signing people. It'll be an imprint that goes through Warner. But I'll get the rights back in about ten years."
Describing the type of artist he wants to sign, he explained he was looking for people similar to himself, “who came through the singer-songwriter scene.”
More details on the project are expected to be announced in the near future.

This isn't the first time Ed Sheeran has been in the headlines this week, after the singer received the slowest sleeping no 1 record in the UK charts for new single 'Thinking Out Loud', and also sung in a Manchester pub with England striker Wayne Rooney.
