John Lewis have unleashed their traditional twee festive ad, complete with a CGI penguin called Monty. Read some of the funniest Twitter reactions below.
Tom Odell is the singer of choice this year, performing Lennon's (relatively) obscure, 'Real Love'. Although an overwhelmingly positive reaction, in their breakdown of this year's advert, the BBC concluded: "So the moral of this particualr Christmas fable appears to be: Cry, or there's something seriously wrong with you."

Twitter users also wasted no time in declaring how emotionally shattered the advert had left them. However, there were a few with a slightly different take. See below:

Fool your John Lewis penguin into thinking you have got it a mate for Christmas by just buying a mirror.

Worst thing about the John Lewis ad: 'Real Love' won't be a #pointless answer in Beatles rounds anymore.
