The Compton rapper's take on the Reebok Ventilators features a combination of red and blue accents to represent unity. The tag reads 'neutral' as a nod to the emphasis on peace and respect between West Coast gangs, the Bloods (red) and Crips (blue).
To commemorate the release of the new trainers, Lamar has shared a video of members from opposing Compton gangs, a Crip and a Piru, discussing the message behind the shoe; one of respect and unity.

Kendrick has recently had to push for a greater peace having been accused for being "worse for black people than racism" by Fox News following his performances the track 'Alrght' at BET awards earlier this month.
Kendrick responded by saying that "Hip hop is not the problem. Our reality is the problem."
