Ellie Goulding has confirmed she will be releasing her third studio album next year, following on from 2010's Lights and Halcyon from 2012.
Speaking to Digital Spy at the Royal Variety Performance, the 'Outside' singer said: "The only big thing coming up for me now is my third album, which won't be out until next year. Everything is going into that."

She also spoke highly of friend and collaborator, Calvin Harris, who she revealed she is working with on the new record: "He's a lovely guy and that makes it very easy, we just have a good chemistry."
Goulding was last in the news for causing a stir after uploading a picture of herself in a Native American headdress on her Instagram account. Branded "insensitive", the singer soon removed the images, before taking to Twitter and promising a fan that she'd donate to a Native American campaign.
