Muse fans and guitar nerds - rejoice! A much more affordable version of one of Matt Bellamy's iconic Manson electric guitars is now available to buy.

The axe-wielding space-rocker, famous for his guitar anthemics and six-stringed sounds and tones, has used mainly Manson guitars on stage and in the studio since around the time of the Origin Of Symmetry days in the early noughties.

Designed by Bellamy and guitar shop owner Hugh Manson (whom Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme used to work for before the band were signed), the guitars are in huge demand by both fans of the band and guitar aficionados.

For some years now, they've been available for upwards of £4,000 - but now, Manson Guitar Works and Cort Guitars have a more affordable model available for just £499. It's scheduled for a full launch in January 2015.

A statement and description reads:

"Matthew Bellamy, the lead guitarist in the rock band Muse, Manson Guitar Works and Cort are pleased to announce the launch of an all new signature guitar. After a productive period of research and development between the three parties, the new guitar will be based upon the official MB1-S series and features a newly designed pickup set from the Manson Guitar Works team together with a discrete kill button.

"The new satin black finished guitar incorporates a sleek maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, a solid basswood body, special Manson designed bridge humbucker and true single coil neck pickup reflecting the layout of several of Bellamy’s stage and studio custom instruments. The kill button allows a wide range of guitar effects to be created by the player without resorting to outboard effects. The headstock design features Bellamy’s distinct signature together with the Cort logo. The rear of the neck has a gloss finish and Manson logo behind the headstock.

"The guitar offers incredible value for money for all guitar players seeking a quality and unique shaped instrument. Instruments purchased via Manson Guitar Works means our luthier team checks every single guitar, resets the action once again and carries out a further final inspection. There are also options for the guitar to include a quality Manson Gig-Bag or UK made ‘Works’ hardcase. Further ‘Works’ upgrades including pickup, circuit and hardware options are also available."
