The world of music and friends of Ian LcLagan have paid tribut after the death of Small Faces and Faces legend was announced last night (Wednesday 3 December, 2014).
The keyboard hero died, aged 69, after suffering complications from a stroke the day before, passing away in hospital at Austin, Texas.
The Middlesex born star joined The Small Faces in 1965, before they became The Face in 1969 after Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood joined the band.
The band split in1975, but McLagan continued to tour and record as a session musician - working with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Chuck Berry, Bonnie Raitt, Frank Black, Joe Cocker, Billy Bragg and many more.
