Spotify has announced Hozier as their 'Spotlight Breakout Star of 2014', commending the singer for his success over the last year.
The streaming website has championed the 'Take Me To Church' singer since 2013, and this year has seen his breakthrough single feature on the site's 'viral chart' every week of the year so far.
As if that wasn't enough, the track has also claimed the No.1 spot on the global chart, with Hozier himself receiving over 150 million streams across all of his tracks to date.
Alongside this announcement, Spotify has also announced its 'spotlight on 2015' list, featuring artists they feel will be massive over the coming year.
The shortlist features artists from across a multitude of genres, from emerging indie acts to hip hop prodigies. The full list consists of Coasts, James Bay, Ibeyi, SOAK, Becky Hill, All We Are, Raury, Juce, Laura Doggett, Nothing But Thieves, Seinabo Sey, and Lapsley.
