Last month, Playboy revealed that Azealia Banks would be posing nude for the magazine, which coordinator and photographer Ellen Von Unwerth described as a "frisky pictorial that’s sure to break the Internet". You can now view some of the images from the shoot at Playboy.com.
When asked by Playboy if she was at all hesitant about posing for the magazine, the rapper replied: “No, I love getting naked. It’s so funny, every time my manager arranges a photo shoot, I’m like, ‘Let’s do a nude photo!’ And everyone’s like, ‘Oh, Azealia, you’re always trying to bring your butt out.’ Posing for Playboy was a no-brainer. I was like, “Yes! They want to see me naked.”
In the accompanying interview, Banks also discussed her upbringing and the topic of sex in her household, (“we had sex books in the house”, she says), an abusive relationship she had with a 43-year-old man (when she was 17, it lasted for four years), whose career she’d like to emulate (it’s Jay-Z) and her bisexuality.
The issue of Playboy featuring Azealia Banks on the cover is out on March 20.
