Kanye West has been announced as the headliner for this year's Glastonbury 2015 - and some are more pleased than others. See the best reactions below.
It is set to be one of the biggest moments of the summer: arguably the world's best live hip-hop act headlining the biggest festival in the UK. We can expect anthems from across a decade's worthy of music, guest vocalists aplenty and with a bit of luck, a rant that genuinely does provoke a huge reaction.
It has to be said that in the Gigwise office our own thoughts tally (not for the first time) with that of author Caitlin Moran who tweeted: "FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK AMAZING!!!!!!"
Twitter's feedback on the announcement has been particularly intriguing. Fellow artists and fans alike (across genres) were naturally very positive.

Yes JESuS at Glastonbury you are welcome.

Some were less keen but understood West's appeal may lie elsewhere (we're glad that the police have reminded us that there is more than one stage at Glastonbury).

Mixed response to @GlastoFest announcing Kanye West as the Sat headliner - if he's not your thing, there are other stages so don't worry!

And some, perhaps missing the point slightly, were just livid. Note: a former X Factor contestant doesn't approve of a hip-hop icon taking the stage.
IS EMILY EAVIS ON CRACK?! #WorstHeadlinerEver @GlastoFest @glasto_biz @GlastoLive #Glastonbury

Pretend you're watching Kanye at Glastonbury by just awkwardly listening to his CD in a room full of guardian readers.

West is the second confirmed headliner for the festival alongside Foo Fighters, who will play the Pyramid Stage on Worthy Farm on the Friday. Lionel Richie has also been confirmed (as has the Dalai Lama, Courtney Barnett and Father John Misty). Other rumours include Queen + Adam Lambert, Taylor Swift, Elton John, The Libertines, Noel Gallagher, Prince and many more.
Glastonbury Festival 2015 takes place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from 24 - 28 June 2015.
