Morrissey has pulled out of a hotly-anticipated forthcoming appearance on TV show Alan Carr's Chatty Man.
The former Smiths frontman was supposed to appear on tonight's (March 27) episode of the Channel 4 show, but, as reported by The Mirror, was forced to pull out due to "transport problems".
The singer was lined up to perform his latest single 'Kiss Me A Lot' from the 2014 album World Peace is None of Your Business. The music will instead be provided by Hudson Taylor with Michelle Keegan, Elijah Wood, Troy the Magician and Warwick Davies as guests.
Morrissey is set to finish his current UK tour tonight with a gig at the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham.
The Smiths turned solo icon has suffered many blows on the road recently. Last year alone, he had to cancel European gigs due to a flu outbreak, pulled a gig in Iceland after the venue allegedly refused go vegetarian (which they subsequently denied), abandoned a gig after fans invaded the stage, another after being insulted, and he admitted to the world that he'd been battling cancer. Still, he returned to the UK triumphant for an epic show at The O2 in London.
In other news, Morrissey has been selling rather fetching T-shirts on his official merchandise stand of himself standing naked next to the Queen. Click here for more.
