Tickets for The Libertines' huge gig in Hyde Park this summer, as part of British Summertime Hyde Park go on sale today at 9am. Details below.
Following hints from both Pete Doherty and Carl Barat the band announced they'd be reforming for a live show in the past week, the band have now confirmed they will reunite to play their biggest ever UK show at the London event.
However, news of the gig hasn't come as welcome news to everyone, with local residents close to Hyde Park complaining about noise levels. Somehow, it's hard to feel sorry for people in multi-million properties having to listen to some indie in the summer. The band also revealed how much they were being paid for the show. Needless to say, they won't be going short...
Preceding The Libertines on the main stage will be sets from the likes of The Pogues, Spiritualized, Maximo Park, Wolf Alice, and Swim Deep.
There'll also be appearances from The Enemy, Reverend and the Makers, I Am Kloot, The Twang, Darlia, Cuckoolander, The View, Brownbear, Raglans and The Rifles.
The news came following Pete Doherty's admission he had accepted an offer for The Libertines to play a big reunion show at Hyde Park. Carl Barat then told fans to "keep July 5 free." Seems they made good on their promise.
The Libertines will perform at British Summertime Hyde Park on Saturday July 5. Tickets go on sale today at 9am. For more information and tickets, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
