Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has revealed he's already got three headliners in mind for next year's festival.
As Glastonbury 2014 draws to a close, it's time to look to next year's installment of the Somerset festival - and next year's headliners have already been decided on. Speaking at the festival's annual conference yesterday (June 29), Eavis revealed the third act had been booked whilst he watched Metallica's headline set on Saturday.
"We've got three headliners already – and that's without Prince," Eavis joked. "We've got some good headliners. We had an agent [for a band] yesterday on the platform by the stage watching Metallica with me, saying, 'My band want to do it next year'.
"I can't tell you who it was but that was done on the platform watching Metallica. It is a British artist? He's definitely British, but the band are not British any more." Let the rumours begin.
Eavis also said he hasn't given up on booking Prince for Glastonbury. "We're always having a go at Prince, but it's up to him whether he wants to do it or not," Eavis explained. "Most of the people in the world want him to play here. I did ask him to hop on the train and come down so I can show him around the farm sometime. It hasn't been taken up yet."
Prior to this year's festival, Eavis had admitted Prince was put off headlining the festival are rumours of his appearance on circulated on social media.
