The Big Moon have unveiled a sublime new track simply entitled 'The Road'. Check it out below.
If it sounds one dimensional by name, it's anything but in nature. Building on the foreboding melodies that charmed us immensely upon first listen, 'The Road' hums with hushed feedback and distant vocals that slowly build over its running time. There's no clattering crescendo, it doesn't feel necessary, especially when the pay off is so remarkably assured.
As the track draws to a close, it's difficult to believe that this is only The Big Moon's third release, after the superb double header of 'Sucker' and 'Eureka Moment'. Perhaps 'The Road' isn't as immediate, but it demonstrates that The Big Moon will be sticking around for a while. That's perfectly fine by us.
