Jack Jones of Trampolene has released a new video today to mark the release of the band’s mini album, Pocket Album Three. The track is a sweet and stark rendition of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Tonight will Be Fine.’ Watch it on Gigwise first below.

We had Jones in the office last week for a stripped back session, the talented youngster playing a slick mixture of heart on his sleeve electric guitar tracks and some spoken word pieces that John Cooper Clarke would definitely approve of. A particular highlight was ‘Poundland’, a hilariously insightful ode to the dreary and dreadful high street chain. Watch out for the launch of our Office Sessions soon.

The band have had an incredibly busy year, completing a hugely successful Friday-night-residency at Koko last month, supporting The Buzzcocks, Carl Barat and The Jackals and playing at both Glastonbury and Isle Of Wight Festivals.

They already have a swarm of notable admirers, from Karl Barat and Nick (Kaiser Chiefs) Hodgson to Ray Davies, Adam Ant and Caitlin Moran, as well as being managed by Tony Linkin, an influential figure responsible for guiding acs like The Libertines, Joe Strummer and Mick Jones throughout the chaotic musical world.

Pocket Album Three is available on digital download only and features ‘It’s Not rock & Roll’, ‘Concept Lover’, ‘Ketamine’, ‘No One’s Got Love Like We Got’ and a cover of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Tonight Will Be Fine’. It's Not Rock & Roll' which has been picking up multiple plays at Radio 1 and Radio X and was mixed by Cenzo Townshend (Florence & The Machine/ The Maccabees).

Check out a couple of stanzas from Jones’ darkly comic poem, ‘Ketamine’ below:

So forget Jim Beam
You could live the dream with a precise regime
Of my old friend Ketamine

Just think of the force to knock out a horse
You know what I Mean
My Pal Ketamine
