In what is probably the most unsurprising collaboration of 2014 so far, Morrissey has joined forces with animal rights organisation PETA, soundtracking a new advert that urges viewers to go vegan. Watch below.
In typical PETA style, short film 'Someday' doesn't exactly hold back. As Morrissey's 1992 track 'I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday' plays, a chick is brutally taken from its mother, cries, and then meets a gruesome and gory end.
The film will be presented on his upcoming US tour in support of forthcoming record World Peace Is None of Your Business. It's most likely going to dampen the atmosphere a bit.

Morrissey teamed up with PETA in anticipation of his 55th birthday on May 22 - and he doesn't want presents, he just wants you to stop eating meat and dairy products. "The best way for anyone to celebrate Morrissey's birthday is to go vegan—not 'someday,' but today," says PETA's Lisa Lange. Hmm. Can we just get him a caterpillar cake instead?
World Peace Is None of Your Business is due for release July 15.
