Spector have just released the video for their new single 'All The Sad Young Men' - and it's youthful and sultry in nature.
The video was directed by St Martin's graduate Laura Baker, whose work was highly sought after by the band. She was approached by bassist Tom Shickle, who said her art seemed to "encapsulate the empty yet jubilant feeling of the track. Luckily for us she said yes to making the video - she completely understood the mood of the song".
Watch: 'All The Sad Young Men' by Spector below.
The video is an amalgamation of colourful, swirling images, with an LA feel - shots of palm tree-lined beaches merge with harsher shots of bright neon signs and flashing club lights, underneath which tanned partygoers and girls wearing light-up bunny ears dance until the sun comes up over the ocean - after which they retreat into the daylight in pink limosines, with glasses full of champagne. The feeling of 'All The Sad Young Men' is echoed in the video - a feeling of empty hedonism, diguised as youthful fun.
Spector play The Lexington in Islington 12 March. For tickets and more information click here.
