This year's Brighton Music Conference looks set to be the biggest yet: here are Gigwise's picks of the events you have to see.
After having downloaded the BMC Event Networking Community App, here are the talks and showcases everyone will be talking about.
1. A talk entitled "Clubs, Festivals and Events: Is It a level raving field?" examining the rise of EDM and how grassroots clubbing has changed. The discussions featuring contributions from Back To Basics founder Dave Beer and Reece Miller, the director of We Are FSTVL.
2. Hand on demo with Novation's Launchpad Pro. Orbital's Paul Hartnoll is already a fan - it's a seriously impressive bit of kit that you can expect to see on dimly lit stages in the next few months.
3. A talk on "How To Start a label" breaking down everything you need to know about A&R, distribution design and surving. Featuring Jamie Russell the co-founder of Hypercolour and Stuart Knight the Director Toolroom. Note: If you can get an invite the Beatport UK Label serminar, hosted by Trevor Manamee, will also be insightful.
4. A discussion entitled "Is Social Media dead?" explaining how Facebook's advertising model is going to impact the industry, featuring contributions from theAudience and Influence Digital.
5. Possibly the most enticing of the two day event, 'Blurred Lines: The Aftermath' examines how the landmark ruling regarding Robin Thicke and Marvin Gaye will impact the industry. It features forensic musicologist Peter Oxendale and Judge Jules on the same bill - although sadly not Emily Ratajkowski.
