So, with a brand new week comes a fresh track from the undisputed King of smoking copious amounts of weed and strengthening misogyny wherever he treads, Wiz Khalifa. This time, he’s treated loyal listeners to the beautifully titled, ‘Fucc Day’, an auto-tuned ode to smoking weed, getting money and fuckin’ bitches, yo.
“I'mma come over, beat her down
We can do it right where you staying
It don't really matter what you doin'
It could be the middle of the day”
The one thing you have to give the Pittsburgh rapper credit for is his sheer ability to write the exact same songs hundreds (literally) of times. How he manages to keep re-phrasing the same old tropes of paper rolling, champagne popping, womanising and fast car driving is truly beyond me. Check out these couple of lines where he manages to succinctly capture all of the above - AKA, the man's philosophy:
"Groupies wanna leave the club with me,
Let your hair blow in the breeze, roll some bomb ass weed,
Get high, cruise high at a jet speed"
Impressive, eh?
If a Harvard scholar were ever to carefully research the narrative arc of Wiz Khalifa’s songs, (It’s more possible than you think - you can study Harry Potter and the age of illusion at Durham University) they’d probably come to this conclusion:
1. Mr Khalifa wakes up and rolls himself some good ol’ erb in a paper ("we don’t smoke blunts, y’all").
2. He kindly smokes it with the homies...
3. Before heading to the club to pop a few bottles that have sparklers attached to them (because, why not?) and then...
4. Find himself a female companion(s) who fits his criteria, i.e: large bottom, very little self respect and an acute hunger for fame in any minute capacity.
