The world's top DJs - including Armand Van Helden and Jackmaster - are set to gather for an Easter weekend (13-16 April) in St Paul's Bay Malta for a festival curated by Annie Mac called Lost & Found.
Sets aren't restricted to clubs and festival stages, a 500-year-old castle and boats will be transformed into venues in this bustling festival that's going to kick off the festival season with an almighty bang.
Given the reputation the festival has for choosing some of the most tasteful electronic acts in the world, we asked some of them - Monki, Solardo, and De La Swing - what to listen to whilst getting ready to go out. What they came back with is a stunning selection that will most certainly get you fired up for a heavy night of Guinness and whiskey drinking this St. Patricks Day.
MONKI
Emanuel Satie - 'Soso'
This is the B-side to his new EP Voodoo. The building percussion in this track is great; a perfect mid set tune to break things up but keep things rolling.
Mall Grab - 'Pool Party Music'
Big old sample, a straight 4x4 kick and a couple big crashes pretty much describes this tune. The name of it is very fitting, the whole EP you can imagine listening to in the sun with palm trees, maybe in Malta?
Lee Foss & Lee Curtis feat. Spencer Nezey & Alex Nazar - 'Living In The City'
Well known for his melodic house, what I like about Lee Foss is that his tunes are very musical, not just straight club records. He was on my Radio 1 show recently and we chatted about his new album, this is something from it, good pre drinks tune I reckon!
Riva Starr - 'Another Dimension'
Big disco tune this, bit of a middle set weapon for me. I love how it rolls on, the second breakdown always gets everyone going. Can't wait to play it out more this summer.
SOLARDO
Floorplan - 'Never Grow Old'
Unreal vocal and stomping drums… the perfect combo.
Denis Sulta - 'It’s Only Real'
This track never ever fails on the dance floor.
Mylo - 'Drop The Pressure'
Classic track and always creates a hands in the air moment.
Solardo - 'Tribesmen'
Had to include one of our own in the list. This one got released on Hot Creations and was our first Beatport number 1.
DE LA SWING
Ninetoes - 'Doo Doo' (Original mix) [Play It Down]
Great selection to warm up a stage. Designed for people with a hunger to party, who want to dance from the very beginning. The best is knowing that it’s just the start…
Rampa - 'Entropie' (Original Mix) [Keinemusik]
This is just the best detox for your ears! And it’s perfect for starting any festival on the right foot!
