James Blake was a surprise visitor to Jamie xx's guest-presenting slot on BBC 1Xtra last night, where he premiered a brand new track. Listen to it below.
Jamie xx was filling on for resident DJ Benji B on the show, which he kicked off with his own recent track 'All Under One Roof Raving'. Whilst he was playing the second of his own tracks, 'Sleep Sound', James Blake arrived, saying, "I've just walked in on you playing your own song, it's quite sweet."
After Blake left, Jamie xx played the untitled track that Blake left behind, which features heavy samples over a drum and bass beat. You can listen here via BBC iPlayer - skip to 29.40 to hear the new song. Or enjoy the below Youtube rip, before it gets taken down.
Blake recently revealed that he is halfway done writing his third studio album, and is hoping to release it at some point in 2015. The album features collaborations with Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and Kanye West.
Blake's second studio album, Overgrown, was released in 2013.
