U2's long time tour manager Dennis Sheehan has died while working on the band's iNNOCENCE & eXPERIENCE tour.
According to TMZ, Sheehan died early this morning (27 May) in Los Angeles as the band were about to perform a series of concerts in the city. Reportedly Dennis Sheehan was found unconscious in his room at the Sunset Marquis Hotel for a reported cardiac arrest.
Sheehan had worked for the band for over 30 years, starting at the age of 19. He had also worked with Led Zeppelin, Iggy Pop and Patti Smith. Currently the band's show at the Roxy tonight is scheduled to go ahead as planned.
It is the latest in a series of accidents and personal heartbreaks for the band. As previously reported Bono injured his hand in a serious accident before the tour could begin, Larry Mullen's father died shortly before the start and The Edge fell from the side of the stage on the opening night.
Currently the tour will move through the USA and Canada throughout June and July before returning to Europe from September to November.
