Tickets for Frank Turner's UK tour are on sale now. See ticket details below.
The singer recently announced details of his next LP, titled Positive Songs For Negative People, and has released November tour dates in support. The new album, the follow-up to 2013's Tape Deck Heart, will be Turner's sixth and will be released on 7 August.
Produced by Butch Walker and recorded in Nashville with Turner's backing band The Sleeping Souls, the record will be released later this year. Speaking of the LP in a statement, Turner said, “I feel like [it's] my definitive statement, a summation of the first five records.”
The album was recorded almost all live in an intense period of nine days, and Turner feels like that brings a different feeling to the LP, capturing the atmosphere of a one of his gigs. "The end result is everything I wanted it to be."
Just like most of his work, the new album continues to address the 'big issues' of life, reflecting on his life in London and overcoming adversity, as well as including songs inked for friends. The lead single 'The Next Storm' debuted on Greg James' Radio 1 show, and the video sees Turner battling it out in the boxing ring.
