Missy Elliott has been announced as the fourth and final headliner of Bestival - which has come of something of a surprise to those expecting it to be Muse.
In an interview at The Snooker World Championships last month, Matt Bellamy said: "We're doing Download Festival, which is like the metal festival, and Bestival in Isle of Wight later in the year, and next year we'll do our own tour obviously."
Unsurprisingly, most fans and media outlets alike took this as pretty firm confirmation that Muse would be headlining the September festival, joining Underworld, Duran Duran and The Chemical Brothers.
It's now been revealed, though, that Missy Elliott will be headlining Sunday night with a European festival exclusive. This makes her one of the very few women, alongside Florence + The Machine who stepped in last minute to replace Foo Fighters at Glastonbury, to headline a major festival this (or any other) summer.

Speaking of her appearance, the singer said: "I'm very excited to be performing at Bestival this year! I can't wait to see all my fans I haven't seen in some time… new ones and my day one fans! We are gonna have a blast together! Bring your dancing outfits and kicks!"
Bestival founder Rob da Bank said, "So, putting the final pieces together for the world’s most intricate jigsaw puzzle that is Bestival, I’m mighty proud to announce our Sunday headliner Missy Elliott. Needing no introduction Missy is the epitome of hip-hop royalty, the first lady of party-starting club bangers and a downright legend. I cannot wait to watch the most successful female rap artist ever Work It at Bestival 2015!"
Bestival 2015 takes place between 10 and 13 September. For tickets and more information, click here.
