Warpaint, Years & Years, Kwabs and A Winged Victory For The Sullen kicked off the final day of Latitude Festival this afternoon ahead of Noel Gallagher's headline set later tonight.

A Winged Victory For The Sullen, the collaboration between Stars Of The Lid founder Adam Bryanbaum Wiltzie and Berlin composer Dustin O'Halloran, opened the 6 Music Stage early in the afternoon, filling the tent with the minimalist, orchestral musings from their self-titled debut album.

Later on, Years & Years played in the same tent to a drastically bigger, overwhelmingly enthusiastic crowd. Dressed in colourful, matching shirt and shorts and with newly bleached hair, lead singer Olly Alexander got proceedings off to an eerily atmospheric start before bursting into the anthemic 'Desire'.

His every move was met with excited yelps from the surging crowd, which seemed to comprise every single festival-goer under the age of 20 and rapidly descended into wild, jubilant dancing.

As the sun began to set, Warpaint took to the main stage for an immensely polished set of psychedelic art-rock, sharing lead vocals amongst each other, each member switching between harmonies and melody with a practised ease that hasn't been so visceral in previous gigs.

Some of the songs seem to exist solely to be built around a dreamy bass lick, with the vocals lingering underneath like discordant choral chants. As the sun melted behind the crowd, they whispered, "Two more songs, and we'll be out of your hair." Warpaint are masters of creating unsettling art rock, and of criminally underselling themselves.

Latitude Festival comes to an end this evening with Manic Street Preachers and a headline set from Noel Gallagher & The High Flying Birds.
