Slipknot's Corey Taylor has reiterated his disgust with modern day pop music in a new interview, saying, "You might as well be listening to a fucking piece of wood."

In a new interview with Kerrang, the always-outspoken frontman elaborated on a quote from his latest book, You’re Making Me Hate You, where he noted that pop music made him ashamed to be a song-writer and singer.

"It’s so auto-tuned, it’s so beat-corrected, it’s so canned and processed and lifeless… I mean, you might as well be listening to a fucking piece of wood at that point," Corey says. "It bothers me, because I put so much into everything I do, I put so much into my music – I bleed for it and die for it every god damn night, you know?"

He went on to speak further about is issues with technology and its relationship with music. "To watch these people basically let a computer go through the motions and do all the work for them, it’s insulting to everyone out there who has more talent and less attention."

This is not the first (and almost certainly won't be the last) time that the Slipnot leader has unleashed a flurry of insults towards the popular music. In a recent interview, he gave a scathing reply to Kanye's Glastonbury claim of being the greatest rock star of all time.
