The Neighbourhood have revealed a new song, 'R.I.P. 2 My Youth', and announced details of their second album, Wiped Out!. Listen to the new track below.
The band's second album, the follow-up to 2013's I Love You, is set for release on 30 October. They've now revealed the first single from the album, 'R.I.P. 2 My Youth' - which is actually its final track.
Blending rocky shades of Foals with minimalist hip hop, the track is both playful and despairing: "I'm just telling the truth / You can play this at my funeral / Tell me sister don't cry and don't be sad / I'm in paradise with Dad."

Speaking of the song to KROQ Los Angeles, the band said, "Sometimes your youth - some people have it taken away from them earlier and some people get to wait a little longer before you have to grow up, but either way the world kind of hits you."
They also spoke of the recording process for Wiped Out: "We wanted to write an album that was going to be solid that you listen to as a project and whether you pick it up the first day it comes out or 6 months after it comes out, when you get to listen to the body of work it’s like, 'Whoa that’s a complete body.'"
