Dave Grohl has praised the Foos' onstage endurance by mocking new bands that play the shorter "two hour concerts". Watch fan footage below.

During a recent show in Calgary, Canada, the Foos frontman intermitted the performance by taking the time to commit some self-praise on the band who, as he persistently remind us, have been together for 20 years. Grohl gave some serious flack to "new bands that play those little two hour concerts."

"You don’t want one of those little hour and a half long shows do you?", Grohl said provocatively: "You don’t want that shit. All of those new bands that play those little two-hour concerts, you don’t want that shit. Two hours and 15, I don’t think is enough.

"Two and a half hours, does that sound okay? That’s not enough is it? Here’s our fucking problem. We’ve been a band for 20 fucking years, we have a lot of fucking songs, and then add my big mouth on top of that, and we’re going to be here all night."

Watch fan-footage of Grohl throwing down the gauntlet below

The Foos have made a habit of standing up for their principles recently after rickrolling the hateful Westboro Baptist Church and bringing a weeping man who just buried his mother onstage to sing 'My Hero'.
