After revealing their new single this morning, Coldplay have been added to the line-up for Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball. Check out information on tickets and dates below.
The annual festive celebration has probably the most star-studded line-up it’s ever had, with a whopping mix of artists including - take a deep breath: Justin Beiber, Little Mix, Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding, Nick Jonas, Sigma, Charlie Puth, Jason Derulo, Ariana Grande, David Guetta, Years & Years, Jess Glynne, Nathan Sykes and now, Coldplay.
The quartet released the first single from their upcoming new album, A Head Full of Dreams, this morning at 7.45am sharp. The band have been using the tube system as their own advertising slates, first announcing the release date of their album and the artwork and then posting the single announcement yesterday afternoon. Some are suggesting that the TFL put Chris Martin a no-travel list for his complete lack of respect for private property.
A Head Full Of Dreams, which features the latest single 'Adventure Of A Lifetime', will be dropping on 4 December. That’s the good news - the bad news is that this may be the final Coldplay album for a while. Chris Martin seems convinced that seven albums back-to-back is enough.
Don’t let that get you down, though. There’s still so much great Coldplay coming your way. The new album is out in a matter of weeks, the Jingle Bell Ball is just the day after and there is a chance, albeit speculative, that we might see Coldplay take the Glastonbury Pyramid Stage by storm.
The Jingle Bell Ball will be happening between 5-6 December in London’s O2 Arena. For tickets and more information, visit here.
