He might continue to act like a bit of a spoilt brat, but Justin Bieber is enjoying something of a musical renaissance in 2015 - one that began with 'What Do You Mean' and looks set to continue with two new songs released this week. With his new album round the corner, this may well be the height of his career.
The pop tween turned bona-fide serious musician releases his new album, Purpose, this Friday (13 November). Ahead of its release, he's shared two cuts from the LP - both of which premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1.
"Am I in love with you, am I in love with you? Or am I in love with the feeling?" sings rapidly rising pop behemoth Halsey in the airy chorus of 'The Feeling'.
'Lose Yourself' meanwhile, which was co-written by Ed Sheeran (whose earnest influence you can hear all over the track), is a minimalist ballad which sounds like an a capella version of a bigger R&B club song. "My mama don't like you, and she likes everyone." Ouch.
