Aerosmith's guitarist is really not a fan of Steve Tyler

Well, as a solo artist anyway...

Dream on Aerosmith fans, you won't be seeing the band tour or release any albums soon - as all plans have been cancelled so Steve Tyler can focus on his solo career. The rest of the band, are less than impressed.

Tyler is set to spend his time recording and touring for his country-influenced solo work - meaning that you won't be seeing the 'Walk This Way' stars on the road any time soon.

Now, guitarist Brad Whitford has voiced his disappointment in the move - saying that he feels 'abandoned' by Tyler.

"Steven doesn't want to do it," he told Billboard, of working with Aerosmith. "It's unfortunate. We kind of feel a little bit abandoned by him. I guess he seems to think his solo career is going to go great guns, and he doesn't seem to realise that - in my opinion - his fans around the globe want to see him in the context of Aerosmith and don't really care for whatever he thinks he's gonna do."

He added: "I don't know if he gets that but, hey, that's what he wants to do. I can't put a gun to his head. It's just pretty disappointing."

This month, Tyler did however launch Janie's Fund - a victim for victims of child abuse

Last year, the band again had to cancel tour commitments due to the drummer's heart condition.
