Cynthia Robinson, key founding member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted Sly and the Family Stone was confirmed dead on Tuesday, having previously been diagnosed with cancer. News of the 69-year-old's death was announced via her Facebook, along with messages of condolence and news that her profile will remain active for fans.
Robinson contributed to some of funk's greatest hits with both Stoner and Sly and The Family Stone, producing tracks such as 'Dance to the Music' and 'Riot'. The message on her facebook was one of reverence; 'God bless you Cynthia!'
Celebrities such as Oscar winner Judith Hill, Questlove and Black Label Society bassist John DeServio have paid tributes to Robinson through Twitter and Instagram.

Robinson founded the Cynthia Robinson Cancer Care Fund in October, which has donations of over at $8000 and will remain active.
