As the iconic girl band head towards the 20th anniversary of their debut single, 'Wannabe', Mel B has heavily hinted at the possibility of a reunion - either for a 2016 tour, a new album, or perhaps even both.
The group were put together by Heart Management back in 1994 to compete with the boy bands - such as Take That and East 17 - who dominated the pop scene in the '90s. They released their first single, 'Wannabe', two years later, and it reached No.1 in 37 countries.
After years of success, they went on indefinite hiatus in 2000. They've had a couple of reunions since then; first in 2007, and then in 2012 for the London Olympics closing ceremony.
Now, as the single that made them a household name heads towards its 20th birthday, Mel B has told the Press Association, "We're going to be doing something at some point with, hopefully, all of us." It's a little vague, yes, but it's a promising start.
"I mean, there's nothing like getting up on stage," she added, "and performing live to your fans and to a great crowd. You can't beat that. So I'm always wanting that feeling back."
The biggest question is whether Victoria Beckham, who told Vanity Fair just over a year ago, "I won't ever do it again," will rejoin the band.
