The Eagles have performed live for the last time, revealed Don Henley in a recent interview.

The band's guitarist and founding member, Glenn Frey, died back in January at the age of 67. The remaining members of the group, alongside Jackson Browne, performed 'Take It Easy' at last month's Grammys in tribute to Frey.

Now, speaking to BBC Radio 2's Simon Mayo, Don Henley has said that the performance was the band's last. "I think it was an appropriate farewell," he said, adding, "I don't think you'll see us performing again."

Speaking of the performance itself, he revealed, "We almost didn't do it," describing it as "very difficult and very emotional."

Following Frey's death, from a combination of complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia, the band said, "Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love and respect for all that he has given to us, his family, the music community and million of fans worldwide."
