Biffy Clyro have revealed the artwork for their new album Ellipsis during a live broadcast and the reaction across social media was split.

The band, who premiered the first single Wolves of Winter last month ahead of the album's July release, invited fans to get the first view of the design which you can see below.

When the countdown reached zero the Scottish trio laid bare (literally) the cover for the band's seventh studio album, Simon Neil and co, laid naked in the foetus position. Imagine John Lennon and Yoko Ono with tattoos.

The Twitter reaction to the unveiling was mixed to say the least.

Biffy Clyro recently announced a headline show at Bellahouston Park, Glasgow on Saturday 27 August with support from Fall Out Boy, Wolf Alice and Cage The Elephant.
