Noel Gallagher had a chat with Ian Brown about The Stone Roses' forthcoming comeback album when the pair bumped into each other in a supermarket recently.
As previously reported, the band sparked a social media frenzy last month when they were photographed at Paul Epworth's Church Studios in Crouch End.
In a subsequent interview, when asked about the new material was going, Ian Brown said: “Like a dream”. When asked when fans of the band can hear the material Brown simply said, “Soon”.
In a new interview with NME, former Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher has spoken of his anticipation for the new album. “I am very excited,” he said, adding, “for them mainly.”
He continued, “They’re going to play some new songs. I bumped into Ian in a supermarket recently. He was buying chocolate flavoured shower gel. This is not a joke. He leant and said 'have you tried this?' and I said of course I hadn't. He swears by it, says it's amazing.
"And before it turned into a photoshoot with everyone and their cameraphones, he was telling me how excited they are by it all. He said it was like they were making their first record again.”
