Prince has been found dead at his Paisley Park home, at the age of 57, according to reports from TMZ.
The singer had recently been hospitalised, after a sudden illness forced the plane he was in to make an emergency landing - but he was subsequently released from hospital. He even performed a concert the following day, and assured fans that he was OK and was simply battling the flu.

Earlier today though, police confirmed that there had been a fatality at his home in Minnesota, after emergency services were called there at 9.43am this morning - but they declined to give the identity of the person involved.
Now, TMZ reports that "multiple sources connected to the singer" have confirmed that the person involed was Prince, who is dead at the age of just 57.
Just a few months ago, the iconic musician paid tribute to his former protege Vanity after her untimely death, also at the age of 57.
Speaking to the crowd midway through a gig, Prince said, "Her and I used to love each other deeply. She loved me for the artist I was, I loved her for the artist she was trying to be. She and I would fight. She was very headstrong 'cause she knew she was the finest woman in the world. She never missed an opportunity to tell you that."
