Donald Trump has been served a cease and desist notice from The Rolling Stones after he soundtracked this week’s victory speech with the band’s music.

The Republican presidential candidate - who is now highly likely to be the Republican nominee after Ted Cruz suspended his campaign - has already been forced to stop using music from the likes of Adele, Neil Young and R.E.M.

On Tuesday (3 May), he used The Rolling Stones’ 'You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ and ‘Start Me Up’ to soundtrack his victory speech - a strange decision, given that Keith Richards is said to have pulled a knife on Trump back in 1989.

Now, the band have released a statement to CBS insisting that they didn’t give Trump permission to use their songs, and “have requested that they cease all use immediately.”

He’s going to have to stick to Republican supporting musicians in the future, like, er, Aaron Carter, or Kid Rock.
